As a Clinical Coordinator (RN) joining our team, you’re embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. The Clinical Coordinator (RN) – Advanced Care Unit will join a team that recently broke ground on an expansion for the intensive care unit (ICU), signifying a 75% increase in capacity for the ICU, adding six beds to the eight that are currently available. The new construction also includes the expansion of an ACU unit and build-out space for a new surgical suite, enabling Winchester to expand surgery as the needs of the community demand.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Associates Degree in Nursing, required
  • KY RN state licensure or compact licensure, required
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; within 7 days of hire
  • Handle with care within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred
  • National Certification in area of specialty or within 2 years of hire date

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.
  • Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission.
  • Will assume required call for department when scheduled. Call will be split between other Clinical Coordinators during scheduling period.
