Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling
  • One (1) year of experience working with emotionally troubled children and affected families in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with DSM 5 diagnosing.
  • Experience in case management functions.
  • Must provide proof of registration for supervision toward licensure with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals (LPC or LCSW) within 90 days of employment.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Providing clinical consultation to the Juvenile Court Services Unit.
  • Screening, assessment, case management, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and coordinating referrals.
  • Ensuring that clients and their families receive the necessary behavioral health care.
  • Facilitating timely access to H-NNCSB's comprehensive continuum of services, ensuring that services are responsive to individual service plans.
  • Providing information about H-NNCSB services to the Juvenile Court Services Unit staff, enabling them to deliver effective and least restrictive care.
  • Meeting clients' identified needs compassionately and professionally.
