This is a Full-Time position where the Clinical Coordinator Float will interact with administrative and clinical staff to ensure maximum utilization of resources and efficient delivery of services. The role oversees day-to-day clinic activities and schedules to reduce patient wait times and overtime expenses. The coordinator assists physicians to ensure clinics run smoothly and on time, schedules patients for surgery, advises on pre-surgical requirements, and reviews surgical documents. They also advise patients on out-of-pocket expenses, manage the surgical schedule, and act as a liaison between staff and the authorization department. The role involves entering surgical/clinical charges, coordinating patient tests and follow-up appointments, documenting patient calls and prescription refills, and managing clinical risk issues. Ensuring timely return of patient calls, monitoring "Hold" buckets on the Athena Dashboard, and assisting with claim resolution are key responsibilities. The coordinator will address concerns from patients, vendors, and staff, escalating issues as needed. Analyzing patient wait times and making recommendations for improvement, communicating with staff and physicians to ensure quality of service, and coordinating physician schedules and on-call lists are also part of the role. Ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting issues are required. Regular and consistent attendance is necessary.
