We are seeking qualified, like-minded Individuals to join our team! CMA with 5+ years' experience in Endocrinology would be considered, LPN Preferred. Summary/Objective: To train, coordinate, create and assist all staff and providers with clinical and electronic medical record information, requirements, and forms. Collaborates with the provider to determine the needs of the patient and assists the provider with providing quality medical care to the patients.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Licensed Practical Nursing program, with clinical experience of five years.
  • Electronic Medical Record experience of five years.
  • Must have working knowledge of clinical OSHA requirements and experience of 2+ years in OSHA program management.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
  • Must be a team player and provide excellent customer service while assessing our patient's needs efficiently.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with Galen Medical policies, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.

Nice To Haves

  • CMA with 5+ years' experience in Endocrinology would be considered
  • 2+ years of clinical supply management including price analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Attend EMR Super User meetings and other required EMR training and relay information to staff and providers.
  • Assist with requesting/creating forms, macros and other items needed within the EMR for the site.
  • Liaison between Galen IT department and site. Will act as the site person to trouble shoot and initiate IT if needed.
  • Attend annual OSHA continuing education and assist in relaying important information to site.
  • Coordinate, organize and save site OSHA materials for site according to guidelines.
  • Review, record, and ensure temperature on digital data logger is at the appropriate temperature for the vaccine refrigerator(s).
  • Responsible for patient supply management and cost. Will inventory, stock and order all patient supplies within the site.
  • Responsible for cost analysis, ordering and tracking off all patient/staff vaccines and medications needed within site.
  • Assist manager with the training of clinical employees, including new hires and clinical lab staff.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepares patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
  • Collects data accurately and ensures that all information is entered into the patient’s medical record in EHR.
  • Prepares and stocks examination and treatment rooms.
  • Clean and sterilizes instruments.
  • Assists provider with minor office procedures.
  • Schedules Outpatient testing, Procedures or Surgeries.
  • Manages Referral process Hospital Admissions Testing and Procedures Pre-certification
  • Triage patient phone calls per site’s protocol.
  • Process Prescription Refill requests per Physician’s protocol.
  • Process and complete prior authorizations relating to prescription and DME requests per Physician’s protocol.
  • Performs Ancillary testing: EKG, Spirometry, Cryotherapy, etc.
  • Laboratory testing may include Rapid Tests, Urinalysis, Bilirubin, Auto CBC, and Phlebotomy.
  • Reviews lab and test results.
  • Provide follow up to patient per provider’s instructions.
  • Provide health education to the patient as needed.
  • Performs all duties in compliance with Galen’s clinical policies and OSHA standards.
  • Maintains clean and neat work area.
  • Active participation in process improvement efforts.
  • May be required to assist other team members based on office demands.
  • Recognize and demonstrate cost-effective measures in utilization of supplies and equipment.
  • Must adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times in order to maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality.
  • Assures accurate and timely documentation of all patients related encounters in the medical record.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
