About The Position

We're seeking an experienced International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our team as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to write and review clinical content. Requirements

  • Current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential in good standing
  • 5–10+ years of lactation consulting experience with demonstrated expertise in maternal-child health and breastfeeding support
  • Extensive experience in hospital, postpartum, newborn, NICU, or outpatient lactation settings
  • Strong understanding of Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) standards and the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding
  • Strong written communication and educational content development skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Candidates should have advanced knowledge and experience related to: Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) standards and implementation, The Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding, Breastfeeding assessment, management, and clinical interventions, Evidence-based lactation support across the continuum of care, Maternal and infant feeding best practices, Common breastfeeding challenges, including latch difficulties, milk supply concerns, mastitis, and supplementation, Pumping, milk storage, and return-to-work education, Lactation support for NICU infants, medically complex newborns, and special populations, Current breastfeeding, infant nutrition, and maternal-child health guidelines
  • A seasoned IBCLC Subject Matter Expert with 5–10+ years of clinical experience
  • Deep knowledge of Baby-Friendly standards and breastfeeding best practices
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content review skills
  • Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into clear, accurate educational content
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and quality healthcare education
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
