A day in the life: The Clinical Consultant for MMA’s Planning and Analytics for Total Health (PATH) will be responsible for consulting with employers, as well as supporting the development and growth of our clinical consulting capabilities. This role will perform project-defined healthcare data analysis, strategic analysis and clinical consulting from a clinical and population health perspective and participate in initiatives related to our PATH team, as well as an assigned region. Conducts in-depth analysis of client data, identifies key issues, and develops strategic clinical recommendations independently. Serves as the principal market clinical resource for client engagements, and assists in managing clinical relationships with payors, providers, and employers. In collaboration with the Senior Clinical Consultant and Regional Lead Clinical Consultant, develop and execute strategies to help clients control health care costs, improve health outcomes and promote employee engagement through analytic-based state-of-the-art innovations and reporting. Interface with other colleagues in a team environment to create clinical strategies and execute those strategies to assist our clients in achieving measurable outcomes. Participate in Requests for Proposal and sales processes for new business as appropriate. Provide consulting for clinician projects. Perform medical and behavioral health clinical assessments of carriers and vendors. Assist with training and mentoring of internal stakeholders on population health and clinical topics. Provide clinical and operational support for development and management of our employer collectives with best in class vendors. Develop expertise in specialty areas/topics as needed by the business (e.g., onsite care, COVID, COEs, new primary care models, and virtual care). Assist with the development and delivery of white papers, FAQs, points of view, sales & marketing materials, internal training and external presentations. Keep current on industry innovations and best practices. Present at local/regional/national industry conferences and seminars.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Documented clinical experience required.
  • 3-7 years of experience delivering clinical consultant services to clients, preferably in a health care consulting or brokerage environment, health insurance carrier or a provider system.
  • Strong knowledge of the dynamics of group health benefits design.
  • Demonstrated applied work experience combining healthcare and business knowledge to population health management, occupational health & safety management and/or healthcare quality and operations management.
  • Valid RN license and a degree in nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's).

Nice To Haves

  • MBA,MPH, or MHA preferred.
  • Employee benefits consulting experience is preferable.
