About The Position

Cottage Medical Group seeks a Clinical Concierge (Medical Assistant) for their CMG Cardiovascular Services Program department. This role is responsible for registering patients, collecting payments, rooming patients, assisting the provider and clinical staff with care and treatment, discharging patients, and following up with patients. The Clinical Concierge's primary goal is to companion patients and their "secondary guests" through their entire experience to maximize clinical excellence, reduce treatment times, and enhance the patient experience before, during, and after their visit. The role involves assisting the provider with both front office and back-office duties in the outpatient management of patients on a rotating basis. This position requires a variety of clinical functions within a clinical setting, demanding knowledge and integration of available standard resources and data, discretion, good judgment, diplomacy, decision-making skills, and a strong customer service attitude. The Clinical Concierge acts as a patient advocate, maintaining continuous contact with providers, patients, patient families/significant others, community agencies, and patient care staff and management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
  • Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of electronic medical record, preferably Epic
  • Basic computer/email skills
  • 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant or equivalent
  • Previous experience with an electronic health record
  • Previous experience with phlebotomy

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
  • Urgent care experience
