About The Position
Valley Medical Group is looking for a clinical clerk to join their team and work in their Easthampton Health Center. This is an opportunity for someone looking for a dynamic environment. Requirements
- Medical Assistant or equivalent medical office experience including medical terminology.
- Knowledge and skills necessary to work in ambulatory healthcare setting
Responsibilities
- Accurate prescription refills
- Prior authorizations for medications
- Effective communication with staff and providers
- Ensuring all requests for prescription refills are handled in a timely and efficient manner, including requests from patients via phone and portal as well as requests from pharmacies.
- Process all prior authorizations for medications sent from pharmacies, providers or insurance companies within 3 days of receipt of the request.
- Research insurance carrier requirements and gather necessary information for completion.
