About The Position

Emerald Coast Infectious Diseases / American Medical Group is looking to hire a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) for both administrative and clinical tasks in the practice.

Requirements

• CCMA Certification

Responsibilities

• Measuring and recording patients' vitals (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration).
• Taking and documenting patients' medical histories, including current medications and allergies.
• Helping physicians with various medical procedures, such as wound care, and injections.
• Drawing blood samples for laboratory testing.
• Properly cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments.
• Coordinating and scheduling patient appointments.
• Maintaining and updating patient records, including electronic health records (EHRs).
• Assisting with billing and coding procedures.
• Managing patient flow in the clinic.
• Coordinating referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Communicating with patients and other healthcare providers as needed.
• Performing general office duties such as answering phones, greeting patients, and ordering supplies.
• Administering medications as directed by a physician.
• Providing basic patient education on their condition or treatment plan.
• Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
