About The Position

The Clinical Case Manager I functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team, headquartered in Lecanto, Florida, organized to provide and coordinate services for victims of child abuse and neglect and their families. This position will travel to outlying counties to provide CPT services in rural communities. The role involves interviewing children, family members, and significant others to obtain medical and psychosocial information, following the child through the process of intake, interview, medical exams, and follow-up. The Clinical Case Manager will present with medical personnel for clinic and hospital visits, arrange and conduct team staffing, and participate in the development of recommendations. This role also includes coordinating client services and referrals to community agencies, completing assessments, and sending reports to protective investigators within program requirements and best practice timeframes. Maintaining client records consistent with program requirements and meeting all division performance measures set by the Assistant Director are also key aspects of this position. Additionally, the role requires participation in an "on-call" rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays, during which direct services, intakes, and case notes are completed, along with all designated paperwork. The position involves travel to a 12-county catchment area to attend court proceedings, conduct trainings for community partners, and provide CPT services as assigned by the Team Coordinator. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with children and families (required)
  • One (1) year of that experience involving work with abused and neglected children
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must use critical thinking to prioritize daily task and duties to ensure the needs of community partners and families in crisis are met.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Must be able to navigate multiple job specific databases
  • Must possess college-level writing skills
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Ability to perform under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, or unusual situations (required)
  • Ability to deal with periodic pressures and levels of responsibility (required)
  • Ability to make independent judgments without supervision (required)
  • Ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria (required)
  • Ability to work with people beyond giving and receiving instructions (required)
  • Adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure (required)
  • Must type 35 WPM
  • Must pass PC skills test
  • Twenty (20) hours continuing education is required per year during employment in this job.

Nice To Haves

  • BA or MA degree of Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or another behavioral science
  • Completion/certification in APSAC Forensic Interviewing training within one (1) year of employment (required)
  • Completion of VOCA Victim Advocate designation training within one (1) year of employment
  • Familiar with the Florida Child Welfare system

Responsibilities
