About The Position

The Clinical Care Associate provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The associate helps patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures related to physical hygiene and comfort. The role works within a unit-based, self-directed, multidisciplinary patient care team and shares tasks with licensed and non-licensed team members. It also includes general clerical and reception duties as needed by the unit or department, including preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering information into a computerized patient care system.

Requirements

• Hold one of the following credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry; Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA); Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT); or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
• Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have one year of patient care experience as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech, or in other relevant acute, direct patient care.
• Have visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities
