Apply today! JOB SUMMARY: The role of the Clinical Call Specialist will serve as the primary individual to receive incoming calls and handle appropriately for the clinical area. The Clinical Call Specialist’s job duties are patient-centered, service-focused and communication driven. Clinical Call Specialists are expected to have the knowledge, understanding and experience to handle all patient concerns. SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm 38-40 hours per week. Weekend call rotation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing or MA program
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a Clinic environment required.
  • Current certification in basic life support (BLS) required, or the ability to obtain before working independently with patients.
  • Strong clinical and electronic medical records skills required.
  • The ability to work as a team with others (co-workers, physicians, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Answers patient phone calls regarding medication (instructions, side effects and refills), treatment plans, post-op or treatment complications/concerns, and instruction clarifications.
  • Assists the Medical Secretaries as needed.
  • Communicates with the team leaders and physicians regarding patient concerns/care.
  • Records clinical messages in the Practice’s EMR system (Medent).
  • Occasionally works on the floor with Physicians and/or PAs.
  • Performs daily count of narcotic medications.
  • Monitors To Dos daily for assigned team leaders.
  • Monitos the ERx messaging.
  • Transports medications under the proper secure procedures to the appropriate locations.
  • Acts as an agent for licensed provider.
  • Travels to other locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
