About The Position

Concordia University's Accelerated BSN program is seeking energetic Nursing Instructors to oversee student clinical rotations in the Portland area. As a Clinical Instructor and extended faculty member, your primary responsibility will be the clinical education of students in the ABSN program. You will be assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area at our partner healthcare facilities in Portland, contributing to the education of students in psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking. This is an opportunity to support the next generation of nurses in your community.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered RN license in Washington/Oregon
  • Completed BSN
  • Two years of successful clinical nursing practice
  • Currently attending MSN with 12 completed credits
  • Able to work 8-12 hour shifts in clinical setting

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of teaching experience
  • Master’s degree in nursing

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical setting
  • Provide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and research
  • Select and organize learning activities which facilitate the student’s attainment of the course objectives
  • Ensure effective evaluations of student practice
  • Promote evidence-based practice
  • Provide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to supervisory personnel
  • Collaborate with other faculty, administration, and with the healthcare partner and its staff
  • Attend all required orientation, training, and faculty meetings
