About The Position

We are searching for a Clinical Audiologist with the Outpatient Audiology Clinic in The Woodlands - someone to provide the highest quality age-appropriate audiologic care for patients newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established practice standards for Audiology. The Clinical Generalist functions effectively as a member of the clinical team and supports the mission of Texas Children's Hospital. Requirements

  • Doctorate required
  • TXAUDLIC - Texas Audiology License Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or Texas Department of State Health if issued prior to 2017)
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • CCC-A - Cert-Audiology - American Speech-Language-Hearing Association within 6 months of position start date
  • ABA-CERT - Cert-Audiology - American Board of Audiology within 6 months of entering the role

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate in Audiology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides diagnostic assessments
  • Documentation and patient/family education
  • Amplification evaluations/dispensing, verification, validation, programming and training
  • Counsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/financial resources
  • At least 2 director approved ½ hour topic or case presentations per year to staff, residents, parents, community, and other professionals
  • Test room listening checks
  • Hearing aid room maintenance, soft-ware updates
  • Serves on audiology committees or specialty teams
