Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Athletic Training.
  • Certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC)
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive athletic training services to patients within the Cornelius clinic, focusing on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct injury evaluations, functional assessments, and treatment planning, working collaboratively with Physical Therapists.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs to enhance recovery and reduce re-injury risk.
  • Provide manual therapy, taping/wrapping, bracing, and exercise-based interventions as part of patient treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment logs, and clinic records.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, movement mechanics, and return-to-play protocols.
  • Work closely with Physical Therapists to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Independently manage a clinic schedule, with oversight from a PT.
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices for clinic workflows, treatment approaches, and patient engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national regulations for athletic training services.
  • Stay up to date on advancements in sports medicine and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical expertise.
  • Engage with the local sports and fitness community, representing Architech Sports as a leader in athletic performance and recovery.
