Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
Master's Degree: Nursing
Clinical nursing work experience

Responsibilities

Provide education instruction both clinically and didactically.
Responds to student requests and emails in a timely and professional manner.
Establishes and maintains scheduled office hours.
Participates in student related extracurricular activities.
Serve as a mentor to students.
Utilizes appropriate, varied, active, and creative teaching and assessment methods, to include formative and summative assessments.
Completes course summaries and analyzes data to use for course and program improvement.
Assist in recruitment of qualified students to the program.
Motivate students to learn and encourage creativity in scholarly endeavors.
Assist in ongoing development of the Master Evaluation Plan and Strategic Plan for the College.
Mentor less experienced faculty.
Serve as an academic advisor.
Investigation and obtaining certificate in specialty area
Provide service to the College through committee membership.
Provide service to the community through application of professional expertise.
Participate in College committees as assigned, and Chair committees as appointed.
Present scholarly information on local, state, national and international level.
Participate in grant writing activities as part of a team and submit materials to appropriate funding source(s).
Participate in research activities and include students in research activities.
Participate in professional organizations and hold office in organization.
Participate on a national level in professional organizations.
Other duties as assigned.
