About The Position

Under the immediate supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Clinical Associate assists in providing basic nursing care to a group of patients. The role also provides clerical, secretarial, and housekeeping support in a designated unit. This is a per-diem position at Rady at Mission in Mission Viejo, California, with a 12-hour night shift. The posted pay range is $23.00 to $24.00 per hour; the rate is determined by factors including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.

Requirements

• Clinical work experience in a healthcare environment, or completion of CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant training, or student nurse status with at least one quarter or semester of clinical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to follow computer downtime procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and meet expectations for completing assigned roles.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to function consistently in an environment that includes varying, unpredictable, or crisis situations.
