About The Position
Under the immediate supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Clinical Associate assists in providing basic nursing care to a group of patients. The role also provides clerical, secretarial, and housekeeping support in a designated unit. The position is based in Mission Viejo, California, and is a per-diem role working 12-hour night shifts. The pay range is $23.00 to $24.00 per hour, with a midpoint of $23.00. Pay is determined by factors including knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, and position requirements.
Requirements
- Clinical work experience in a healthcare environment, or completion of CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant training, or student nurse status with at least one quarter or semester of clinical experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to follow computer downtime procedures.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to prioritize assigned tasks and meet expectations for completing assigned roles.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to function consistently in an environment that includes varying, unpredictable, or crisis situations.
