About The Position

The Clinical Assistant assists in providing quality health care and provides clerical support to the unit. The role also assists with clinical procedures as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Suite and an electronic medical record system.
• Willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors.
• Ability to work well and compassionately in stressful situations.
• Professional and courteous demeanor with patients and co-workers.
• Awareness of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position.

Nice To Haves

• Certification as a CMA or CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rooming patients, electronic chart documentation, recording vital signs, following up on provider orders, and phlebotomy.
• Assist with preparation for treatments and procedures without administering medication.
• Help maintain clinical supplies and keep the work area clean.
• Perform CLIA lab controls and quality checks according to the policy schedule.
• Assist with regulatory audits as requested.
• Schedule patient appointments according to guidelines.
• Participate in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives as part of the Clinical Care Team.
• Perform other clinical duties and responsibilities as requested by management and supervision.
