About The Position

Red Balloon Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Clinical Assistant to join our growing team. We provide high-quality urgent care for children with minor illnesses and injuries during evenings and weekends, helping families receive the care they need when their primary care provider is unavailable. The Clinical Assistant plays an essential role in supporting our healthcare providers while ensuring a positive experience for every patient and family. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and insurance processes.
  • Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Proficient with basic computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms for patient visits.
  • Room patients, obtain vital signs, and accurately document patient information.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform basic clinical procedures under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
  • Provide compassionate, friendly, and professional care to pediatric patients and their families.
  • Educate patients and caregivers by providing clear instructions and answering basic questions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Clean, sanitize, and restock exam rooms and clinical equipment.
  • Sterilize medical instruments according to established protocols.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of medical supplies and notify leadership of replenishment needs.
  • Collaborate with providers, front office staff, and fellow clinical assistants to ensure efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient care.
  • Assist with other clinical duties as assigned.
