About The Position
Piedmont Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates (PENTA) has joined CEENTA, expanding coordinated ENT care across North Carolina. PENTA is hiring a Clinical Medical Assistant to support providers in a fast-paced, patient-focused healthcare environment. This role is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on patient care experience, medical assistant training opportunities, and career growth in healthcare.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- 1–2 years’ clinical experience required, (primary care or ENT preferred)
- Experience with EPIC or EMR systems
- Completion of accredited Medical Assisting program (CAAHEP, ABHES, or AMT‑approved)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Dependable to travel between sites
Nice To Haves
- CMA, RMA, or LPN certification, preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients; document history including vital signs, medical histories, and allergies
- Assist Providers with exams, treatments, and in‑office procedures
- Administer medications and collect lab specimens
- Provide patient education and serve as a scribe when needed
- Schedule appointments, procedures, and surgeries
- Respond to patient messages and prescription requests
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
- Clean and restock exam rooms; sterilize equipment and maintain OSHA‑compliant safety standards.
- Maintain clinic supply inventory and place orders when needed.
- Support the onboarding and training of new staff and apprentices.
- Collaborate with Providers and clinical team members to ensure efficient patient flow and high‑quality care.
- Travel to other PENTA locations as needed.
