Clinical Assistant Professor Psychiatry - Inpatient
About The Position
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry position will be in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This position is actively involved in providing clinical services in the OSU System. Additionally, teaching of medical students and residents. Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. The position will work with existing Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences faculty.
Requirements
- M.D./D.O.; Doctor of Osteopathy or Medical Doctor; Psychiatry or related field
- Eligibility for licensure in the State of Oklahoma
- Board certification by the AOA or ABMS, or board eligibility
- Valid Driver's License
- Knowledge of all areas related to the clinical practice of psychiatry.
- Requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, advanced problem-solving skills, practice management experience, and the ability to effectively plan.
- Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records.
- Good communication and leadership skills are a positive.
- Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.
