The Faculty Clinical Track emphasizes professional service in clinical settings. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Involved in site preparation, commissioning and acceptance testing of the new radiation treatment systems. Maintains primary responsibility for clinical radiation therapy equipment operations, including workflow through the department. Identifies and resolves daily operational issues related to the radiation therapy equipment aspects of patient care. Provides daily direction and supervision of various staff, including Physicists, Dosimetrists therapists, and radiation therapy staff. Ensures that the quality assurance and monitoring plans achieve the goal of ensuring the highest quality of patient care and patient safety. Maintains knowledge of current industry standards set by professional organizations, including the American College of Radiology and the American Association for Physicists in Medicine, and other sub-specialty organizations as indicated especially in MRI and MRL. Develops and maintains all required and appropriate documentation for daily, monthly and annual calibration. Participates in the education/research program of hospital and department. Ensures that appropriate quality measures and training are in place for the safe and accurate treatment. Developing adoptive therapy and innovative treatments. Assists with performing broader role in oncology physics duties.
