The Faculty Clinical Track emphasizes professional service in clinical settings. This role involves site preparation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of new radiation treatment systems. The individual will maintain primary responsibility for clinical radiation therapy equipment operations, including workflow through the department, and will identify and resolve daily operational issues related to radiation therapy equipment in patient care. This position provides daily direction and supervision of staff, including Physicists, Dosimetrists, therapists, and radiation therapy staff, ensuring that quality assurance and monitoring plans achieve the highest quality of patient care and safety. The role requires maintaining knowledge of current industry standards and developing/maintaining documentation for calibration. Participation in the education/research program and ensuring appropriate quality measures and training for safe and accurate treatment are also key responsibilities. The position involves developing adaptive therapy and innovative treatments, and assisting with broader oncology physics duties.
