The University of Miami, School of Education and Human Development, and the Department of Educational and Psychological Studies (EPS) invite applications for a non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Clinical (Educator Faculty) position to direct the APA-accredited PhD program in Counseling Psychology. This is a full-time, 9-month non-tenure track appointment. We invite applications from scholars with a strong commitment to the scholarship of practice, teaching, service, and whose work has potential to make significant contributions to the field of Counseling Psychology. The successful applicant will have earned a doctorate in an APA-accredited program in Counseling Psychology. We welcome applicants who have demonstrated a commitment to high-quality training in counseling psychology, scholarship of practice, and service. In addition to directing the PhD program in Counseling Psychology, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses and advising students across our doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate programs, advising Ph.D. and Ed.D. dissertations, and providing service to the program, department, school, and university. The mission of graduate programs in counseling is to provide excellent preparation for research-based, professional practice in counseling through the integration of theory, research, and skills.
