Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), a member of the Texas A&M University System, welcomes applicants for a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Communication Sciences & Disorders to begin Fall 2026. TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250,000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery, teaching and learning, community engagement and public service, and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. This is a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month academic appointment. Primary duties will include being responsible for teaching assigned speech-language pathology courses each semester and providing appropriate clinical supervision of students across a variety of settings, completing all administrative aspects of the courses taught, and advising students throughout their program of studies as appropriate. Duties also include initiating and participating in scholarly and professional activities at the local, state, and national levels, providing service to the community through participation in the planning and presentation of various programs focused on promoting the increased well-being of the community, and engaging in service to the department, college, and university. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace. The Department of Health Sciences, in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences, offers bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology, Communication Sciences & Disorders, and in Public Health.
