Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution required.
  • Current state licensure or licensure eligibility (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent).
  • First Aid / CPR Certification.
  • Crisis Intervention Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year’s training and/or clinical experience with pending licensure / certification in substance abuse counseling preferred.
  • Clinical experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment setting preferred.
  • Experience with treatment planning, clinical documentation, crisis intervention, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities preferred.
  • Prior work in residential, outpatient, or multidisciplinary treatment environments preferred.
  • Dual licensure (LCAS) or certification (CADC) in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Clinical Team by thoroughly assessing each client adhering to the admissions process and procedures.
  • Collecting collateral information from family members or third parties.
  • Appropriately staffing the assessment before treatment placement.
  • Supporting the clinical team with treatment planning, Family and Client Orientation.
  • Assisting with case management and referral management.
  • Coordinating clinical and holistic services being provided.
  • Arranging additional resources.
  • Participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  • Understanding and working within the 12 Core Functions of a CSAC candidate.
  • Being trained in UA/BAC screening, crisis intervention, and EMR data entry.
