About The Position

National Counseling Group (NCG) is seeking a Clinical Assessment Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in the client care journey, involving conducting Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNAs), completing intake documentation, and accurately populating client profiles within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). The specialist will collaborate with guardians, service providers, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) to coordinate services, manage referrals, and facilitate service authorizations. This position also serves as a key point of communication, providing timely support to internal teams and leadership to ensure all assessments, documentation, and follow-ups are completed with precision and care. Requirements

  • Must be a Resident in Counseling or hold a full Mental Health license (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite and EHR systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNAs) and complete client intake documentation.
  • Maintain accurate client records by entering assessments, diagnoses, medications, and other required information into the EHR.
  • Coordinate referrals and service authorizations while collaborating with families, providers, and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs).
  • Communicate with clinical teams and leadership to ensure timely follow-up, documentation, and continuity of care.
