About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody values of excellence, compassion, teamwork, and purpose to join our Hematology Oncology leadership team in the role of Clinical Ambulatory Manager. This role combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. The manager is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The role provides strategic vision and operational planning for assigned units, leading an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is also accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidence-based practices and professional nursing standards.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • A Bachelor of Nursing (BSN). If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
  • An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences.
  • Providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit.
  • Leading an inter-professional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
  • Advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.
  • Overseeing the CICC infusion centers at Methodist, East, and Fishers, as well as Goodman Hall Infusion Center and MMP Eagle Highlands and North.
  • Rotating weekend and holiday on call.
