About The Position

Navigating brain and spinal cord injury recovery after hospitalization is a daunting and complicated ordeal. The QLI Clinical Admissions Liaison helps smooth the turbulent waters and bridge our clients and their families to QLI where they can begin rebuilding their lives. QLI has established a national footprint and a reputation with hospitals around the country. The liaison is responsible for the development and preservation of the valued relationships we have with our referring hospitals. As a result, frequent travel to medical centers throughout the U.S. for the purpose of evaluating patients and ongoing relationship building is an integral part of this role. We are seeking a socially-skilled, organized, self-starter who thrives on coordinating the many moving parts of an admission to QLI. Being an optimistic, dynamic and collaborative teammate is a must. Our Clinical Admissions Liaisons are the faces of QLI. They make powerful first impressions and pave the way for all of us to have a lifelong impact.

Requirements

  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge with the ability to analyze a potential resident's needs, including physical, psychosocial and emotional history.
  • Aptitude to learn and understand funding sources and criteria.
  • Willingness to understand, implement, and comply with current State and Federal Regulations.
  • Display understanding of the admission process from acute care to long-term care.
  • Must not have any condition or limitation that could pose a direct threat to self or others unless such threat can be eliminated by a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to pass a fitness assessment designated for this job title and perform all physical activities related to the position.
  • Regular attendance in your assigned role is an essential job function.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in resident/patient assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and preserve valued relationships with referring hospitals.
  • Evaluate patients at medical centers throughout the U.S.
  • Build and maintain relationships with physicians, therapists, nursing team, referral sources, social workers, clinical team, and referral hospitals.
  • Partner with the care team to develop and implement individualized therapy programs for residents.
  • Facilitate meetings with family and provide education about our program.
  • Provide support to clinical and residential teams as necessary.
