About The Position

This position collaborates effectively with all members of the care team to uphold the organization’s mission and vision, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service. The coordinator also supports clinical teams in achieving both service and care delivery goals. The Clinical Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the completion of established processes and protocols.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word (create documents, edit), Excel (create, edit, save documents), Outlook (email and calendar management), and the ability to use multiple web applications
  • Reside within 20 miles to Tampa, Florida and can travel locally approximately 10%25 of the time for team meetings.
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience working with Medicare and/or Medicaid Services
  • 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry
  • 2+ years of experience working with medical terminology
  • Work at home experience
  • Experience working in metrics driven environment
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
  • Work with the clinical team to manage requests for services
  • Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
  • Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Resolve inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Completing special projects
  • Performs other duties as assigned
