About The Position

The Clinic Support Worker will provide janitorial duties on regular basis as required within the health facility; provide minor maintenance as assigned by immediate supervisor; cross train for Community Health Representative, Cultural Support Worker, Home Health Aide, Medical Transportation Clerk, Parent Support Worker and Dental Aide; This position is required to order supplies, do inventory control, and to work with the supervisor to maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

• Minimum grade 10 education.
• WHIMS and First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain).
• Willing to learn new skills and work within the health care team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak/understand Cree and knowledge of the Cree culture is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver’s license preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide janitorial duties on a regular basis as required within the health facility.
• Provide minor maintenance as assigned by immediate supervisor.
• Cross-train for Community Health Representative, Cultural Support Worker, Home Health Aide, Medical Transportation Clerk, Parent Support Worker and Dental Aide.
• Order supplies.
• Perform inventory control.
• Work with the supervisor to maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.
• Sweep/mop/dust floors and damp mop the main entrance or other soiled floor areas as necessary.
• Ensure that garbage/debris is removed from clinic/facility and surrounding grounds and transferred to an appropriate refuse container outside the clinic/facility.
