About The Position

This role provides leadership and oversight to departmental staff, ensuring adequate staffing and managing schedules for clinic coverage. The Clinic Supervisor monitors employee performance, provides feedback, and identifies opportunities for employee development through coaching and training. They collaborate with the management team to optimize clinic operations, evaluate clinical services, and support quality initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. This position also ensures continuity of care, addresses patient concerns, tracks key performance indicators, manages departmental inventory, and provides training to clinical staff. Additionally, the role may involve performing Certified Medical Assistant responsibilities and other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and equivalent.
  • Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant certificate required within 60 days of hire.
  • 3 years of medical assistant/certified medical assistant experience.
  • 1 year of leadership/management experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite applications/software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Excel) and other computer software/applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals within all levels of the organization, patients, patient family members, providers, vendors and others.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
  • BLS required within 60 days of hire.
  • Current California driver’s license and proof of auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight to departmental staff.
  • Ensure adequate staffing and manage schedules for all clinics.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development and facilitate coaching, training, and resources.
  • Collaborate with the department management team to ensure departmental workflows are accurate, up-to-date, and support efficient clinic operations.
  • Assist the departmental management team with monitoring and evaluating clinical services and quality.
  • Support management in identifying areas for improvement and implementing quality initiatives.
  • Support the continuity of care by promoting quality of care with cost-effective outcomes.
  • Ensure patient concerns and complaints are addressed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Track departmental key performance indicators (KPI) and report findings to management monthly.
  • Manage departmental inventory of medical and medication supplies and submit supply orders as needed.
  • Provide initial and ongoing training to departmental clinical staff and ensure staff have adequate resources.
  • Provide coverage of Certified Medical Assistant responsibilities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
