We are seeking a dedicated Clinic Specialty Supervisor (CMA/LPN/RN) to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Gynecology, Rheumatology, and Podiatry Departments. This role involves recommending hires, orienting and training Medical Support Staff (MSS), ensuring proper clinic coverage, and evaluating staff performance in conjunction with physicians and the clinic site manager. The supervisor will collaborate closely with department providers, planning, implementing, and evaluating projects and protocols within these specialty departments. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required with current Minnesota RN license OR current Medical Assistant certification/Registered required or Licensed by the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  • 1+ years of supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of nursing principles, clinical policies, and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate the daily operations of the Gynecology, Rheumatology and Podiatry Departments
  • Ensures, oversees, and actively participates in orientation and training of newly hired staff
  • Evaluate staff performance in conjunction with the Site Manager
  • Assists with the development, review, and updating policies, procedures, and clinical protocols as needed
  • Communicates changes in clinic policies related to supervised areas to all clinic locations
  • Shares new information regarding medications, procedures, and clinic updates to Providers and staff
  • Facilitates provider meetings for Gynecology, Rheumatology, and Podiatry every six weeks
  • Facilitates staff meetings for each specialty department every six weeks in coordination with provider meetings, to ensure timely and consistent communication
  • Maintains current knowledge on emerging advancements in gynecology, rheumatology, and podiatry, and evaluates clinical effectiveness and financial feasibility for potential implementation.
  • Communicates with vendor representatives to stay up to date on pricing changes and explore cost-effective purchasing options for the clinic
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for providers and staff regarding issues regarding within the Specialty Departments
  • Acts as a clinical and operational resource to specialty department staff as needed
  • Assists Gynecology Providers with clinic procedures
  • Assists with patient phone messages for Gynecology through the Patient Call Center
  • Coordinates ultrasound reports, including processing for billing and ensuring accuracy
  • Provides clinical support in other areas of the clinic as needed
