Job Highlights: 403(b) Retirement Plan; Career scholarships; Quality training, continuing career education and leadership programs; Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days) About the job: Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Pay: $18.61-$20.29 The Clinic Secretary primary purpose is to facilitate the maintenance of the participant’s/resident’s medical record, transcribes orders, set up appointments and transportation, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. Prioritizes, organizes and coordinates activities to facilitate smooth, efficient operations. Manages and performs clerical and non-nursing administrative tasks for the department. Serves as the receptionist/communicator for the department. Manage inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment for the department.

Requirements

  • High School graduate
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms and other office procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant or CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the maintenance of the participant’s/resident’s medical record
  • Transcribe orders
  • Set up appointments and transportation
  • Prioritize, organize and coordinate activities to facilitate smooth, efficient operations
  • Manage and perform clerical and non-nursing administrative tasks for the department
  • Serve as the receptionist/communicator for the department
  • Manage inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment for the department
  • Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic appointments, surgeries and medical consultations
  • Call to remind participants to fast in order to catch them prior to meals
  • Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence, using typewriter or personal computer
  • Answer telephone calls and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results to appropriate staff
