Read on, PACE North might be just the opportunity for you! What is PACE North? PACE stands for Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We are new and unique option for individuals 55 and older who qualify for nursing facility level of care and wish to remain in their homes as they age. What does that mean? We care for the elderly at our day center on Garfield near Hammond during regular business hours and as needed in their home. If you’ve never heard of us before, that’s okay since we’re new to the region. PACE North began serving the 7 county region’s elderly in 2019 and our service model is so popular it’s growing quickly! What does a PACE North Home Care Scheduler do? You’ll be a key partner within our care team! At PACE North you’ll be fully responsible for scheduling all home care events for our participants with our awesome CNA team. You'll coordinate carefully with our internal team and be a great liaison between the clinic, therapy services, transportation, and our day center. You could also participate in a rotation to take calls after hours and on weekends to help our Care and CNA teams work through unforeseen scheduling issues. Be ready to be super-flexible because change is constant! You can expect to use a wide range of clinical administrative software and Microsoft 365. Finally, you'll be able to provide PACE North participants and team members with the most cheerful and professional service they've ever received!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comparable professional experience in a healthcare scheduling or office administration role.
  • Strong skills in common healthcare and business software.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Inspirational, motivational, and creative approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college coursework is helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling all home care events for participants with the CNA team.
  • Coordinating with the internal team.
