About The Position

CHI Health, part of CommonSpirit Health, operates more than 150 clinics across Nebraska and southeast Iowa. The Clinic RN supports healthcare teams and contributes to patients’ care and clinic experience. The role involves direct patient support, care coordination, screenings, clinical procedures, health education, and administrative tasks, using technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. The RN explains instructions and addresses patient concerns to help patients feel at ease. The position performs general patient care according to established clinic workflows. Duties include preparing patients for providers, obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing allergies and medications, completing screening questionnaires, and documenting reasons for visits. The RN also collects and prepares laboratory specimens, provides ordered medications and vaccines, cleans and sterilizes instruments, and maintains stocked, clean, and orderly examination rooms.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse license that allows practice in the state.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

Collaborate on comprehensive patient screenings and assist with clinical procedures.
Provide health education and explain instructions while addressing patient concerns.
Manage administrative tasks and use technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations.
Perform general patient care following established clinic workflows.
Greet and prepare patients for healthcare providers.
Obtain and record vital signs; review drug allergies and current medications; complete applicable screening questionnaires; and document reasons for visits.
Collect and prepare ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
Prepare and provide ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
Clean and sterilize instruments.
Ensure patient examination rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
