About The Position

Join our Waterford Urgent Care team, where every day brings something new. You'll care for patients with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries while working alongside experienced providers and teammates who value collaboration, flexibility, and exceptional patient care. Whether treating a child with an ear infection, an athlete with a sprained ankle, or an adult needing same-day evaluation, you'll play an important role in helping patients receive timely, compassionate care close to home. The Clinic RN in the Medical Group utilizes the nursing process to deliver appropriate nursing care and procedures in the clinic setting. The Clinic RN performs nursing acts delegated by a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. This individual oversees and acts as a professional clinical resource for the Medical Assistant/Clinic LPNs and other ancillary professionals. Act as the resource for data gathering and assessment, triage walk-in and call-in patients to the appropriate health care provider.

Requirements

Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care clinic environment or 3-5 years clinical hospital, home care, or community health experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) card through the American Heart Associate (AHA), or ability to obtain certification upon hire
Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Previous ambulatory, urgent care, emergency department, or primary care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients presenting with urgent medical concerns.
Collaborate with providers to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.
Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and treatments within your RN scope of practice.
Perform clinical procedures including wound care, splinting, specimen collection, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
Document patient care accurately in Epic.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
Help maintain patient flow while providing an exceptional patient experience.
Utilizes the nursing process to deliver appropriate nursing care and procedures in the clinic setting.
Performs nursing acts delegated by a physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
