About The Position

A Staff Office Registered Nurse works under the general supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician's Assistant and performs various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of the patients. Assists in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation with consideration of the aging process, human development stages, and cultural diversity. Assists in the care and preparation of clinic/surgical patients in various clinic settings, minor treatment area. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of licensed practical nursing (applicable for LPN).
  • Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program (applicable for Medical Assistant).
  • Ability to pass specific competencies for this position.
  • Proficient oral and written communication.
  • Hold and maintain RN Illinois Licensure.
  • CPR required or be willing to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year office experience preferred.

  • Displays accountability for actions and decisions for the continuity of patient care.
  • Completes assigned daily duties.
  • Assists with daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of equipment, work, and storage areas.
  • Accepts reassignment to other units if necessary.
  • Follows expected work practices.
  • Displays thoroughness and accuracy of work.
  • Works in a safe manner, including reporting unsafe equipment or environment.
  • Well organized, accepts assignments willingly and accomplishes them efficiently.

  • Maintain knowledge and skills necessary to communicate, teach and interact with patients, visitors, and staff in the following age groups: Infant, Pediatric/adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
