About The Position

Join Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital (BHVH) as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our PACU is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. We foster an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building for every team member. The patient population includes Vascular, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology patients. The patient ratios are 1:2, and the department has 12 beds. We also assist surgeons and anesthesiologists with bedside procedures. The department has a >95% BSN rate, features world-renowned surgeons and cutting-edge procedures, and supports nurses in professional development through strong practice councils.

Requirements

• Grad of an Accredited Program
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
• At least 2 years of recent, full time PACU, ICU, and/or ER RN experience.
• Requires ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (within 30 days of hire)
• Expected to obtain CCRN.

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac ICU experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologist with bed side procedures.
• Provide care to Vascular, Cardiology, and Electrophysiology patients.
• Manage patient care in a fast-paced PACU environment with high acuity patients.
