About The Position

The Clinic RN at Mercy Clinic Springfield (St. Jude's Affiliate) provides pediatric oncology patient care using the nursing process and maintains professional accountability for care of assigned patients. The role coordinates patient care with other departments, protects patient rights and confidentiality, and performs duties consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a part-time, Monday–Friday day position.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, and diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles for developing a self-care program, instruments, and common safety practices.
• Current valid state license.
• CPR certification, or ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform duties and responsibilities consistently with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.
