About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care and acting as a patient liaison in support of the Medical Oncology Department. This role involves preparing patients for providers, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and navigating patients through inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring they receive appropriate care. Requirements

Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
Direct patient care experience
Experience in patient liaison role
Ability to administer medications (oral, injections, IVs, nebulizer treatments)
Familiarity with clinical data collection and vital signs
Understanding of scope of practice for LVN
Patient navigation skills for inpatient/outpatient services

Responsibilities

Provides direct patient care according per organizational policies and procedures.
Prepares patient for provider including vital signs and collection of clinical data.
Administers medications to patients, including, oral, injections, IV’s and nebulizer treatments as ordered by provider.
Assists provider and/or performs procedures in assigned area within scope of practice.
Assists in the patient navigation for both inpatient/outpatient services and works closely with members of the clinic to ensure that patient is receiving appropriate services.
