About The Position

This position is open to any of the following clinical staff: CMA, LPN, RN, or Radiologic Technologist. The role involves utilizing the skill and knowledge of a Licensed Practical Nurse to render direct and indirect patient care in support of medical care and in accordance with established standards of care, as well as policies and procedures of Southeast Health. The position contributes to the nursing assessment and is responsible for promoting positive relationships and teamwork among employees and between departments. The individual is responsible and accountable for their own clinical practice, as well as the quality and quantity of nursing care given to patients by nursing personnel.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Alabama nursing license.
• BCLS certification (current).
• Successful completion of Southeast Health pharmacology exam.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively communicate in an emergency situation.
• Basic typing skills.
• Effective telephone techniques.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Office Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment including, but not limited to: vital signs, history, medication reconciliation and administering of medications.
• Document patient assessment.
