This Clinic Office Assistant position at the Family Medical Care Center involves a variety of clerical and filing duties. The role requires maintaining medical records, answering telephones, performing computer data entry, and understanding insurance managed care requirements, practice management systems, and electronic medical records. Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding and their impact on reimbursement is also necessary, along with billing, collection, and charge entry functions. The assistant is expected to demonstrate strong customer service, team-building, and leadership skills.
