About The Position

The Clinic Nurse assists clinic providers with the examination, evaluation, and triage of individuals participating in research protocols conducted at START. The nurse applies appropriate professional judgment and decision-making when planning and providing care. The role is based at START’s Miami location and follows a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Licensed Registered Nurse in the practicing state.
2–4 years of oncology nursing experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification.
Clinical trials experience.

Responsibilities

Perform telephone triage assessments of patients on trial.
Educate patients about clinical trial participation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, investigational agent administration, and potential side effects.
Enter patient history into the Electronic Medical Record using received records and patient-provided history.
Coordinate patient care with internal and external staff.
Assist with prescription refills.
Assist with entry and completion of quality standards for EHR/PQRS.
