About The Position

Red Oak Medical Clinic, part of Montgomery County Memorial Hospital (MCMH), is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Clinic Nurse Lead within our primary care team. This role functions as a key clinical resource and support for staff, promoting high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The Clinic Nurse Lead serves as a clinical resource and point of support for nursing and clinical staff within a primary care setting. This role focuses on promoting high-quality patient care, supporting staff in day-to-day clinical operations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The Nurse Lead does not have formal supervisory or managerial responsibilities but functions as a knowledgeable go-to resource for clinical guidance and workflow support.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care or ambulatory settings
  • Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to mentor and support peers in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a lead, preceptor, or informal mentorship role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a clinical resource for nursing and support staff, providing guidance on patient care, protocols, and best practices
  • Support daily clinic flow by assisting with patient care coordination and troubleshooting workflow challenges
  • Promote adherence to clinical policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new clinical staff, including mentoring and skills development
  • Provide real-time support and education to staff on clinical procedures, equipment use, and documentation standards
  • Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient and patient-centered care
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvement and support implementation of process enhancements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support compliance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain clinical competency and serve as a role model for professional practice
