About The Position
The Clinic Medical Assistant Apprentice is a KVH employee enrolled in a certified Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program. This one-year program focuses on on-site work and learning under the guidance of a preceptor. Upon completion, the apprentice is expected to take the Department of Health Certified Medical Assistant test and become licensed by the State of Washington.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR card for Healthcare Providers
- Current MA-R license from the Washington State Department of Health
- Current NAC license from the Washington State Department of Health
Responsibilities
- Work and learn on-site under the guidance of a preceptor.
- Complete the Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.
- Take the Department of Health Certified Medical Assistant test.
- Become licensed by the State of Washington as a Certified Medical Assistant.
