About The Position

The Clinic Manager facilitates the patient referral process and obtains appropriate pre-certifications as requested by the provider(s). Responsible for greeting patients; check-in, check-out, scheduling and managing telephones and messages. Collects and posts co-pays, deductibles and past due patient balances at the time of service. The individual in this position will manage a Primary Care Clinic.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in related field required. Applicable work experience may be used in lieu of education.
• Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management.
• Perform and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Create and foster an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Ensure department stay focused on their important role in the continuum of care.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work and ensure quality standards.
• Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.
