Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited school.
Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs, height and weight for clinic patients and places patient in treatment room.
- Performs venipuncture, accesses mediports, and starts IVs as ordered.
- Responsible for properly labeling all blood samples and submitting to lab.
- Cleans and maintains treatment rooms with the appropriate level of supplies and maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Performs treatment room functions such as rounding on patients, assisting the nurses, and documenting appropriately.
- Assists in triage area with patient scheduling and daily prep.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
