About The Position
Scheurer Primary Care–Pigeon, part of Scheurer Healthcare, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for its clinic. The position is listed at 80 hours per pay period, with hours that will vary. The LPN will support patient registration and rooming, verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, enter information into an electronic medical record, prepare patients, and assist the physician during patient care. The role also requires strong customer service and communication skills.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Hold a Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing from the State of Michigan.
- Have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or be willing to obtain it within the first three months of employment.
- Have a minimum of two years of practical experience in a medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register each patient.
- Place patients in rooms.
- Verify insurance coverage.
- Collect co-pays.
- Enter data in an electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients and provide assistance to the physician during patient care.
- Provide remarkable customer service.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
